The Executive Presbytery and Key Leaders of Assemblies of God Ghana met for a 4-day capacity building and prayer retreat at the Pentecost Retreat Centre in the Central Region, which was hosted and chaired by the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam.

The various leaders who met for the conference include EP Officers and members and their spouses, District Pastors, and Heads of Agencies of Assemblies of God Ghana. Several topics on church administration and leadership were discussed. The General Superintendent, Rev Stephen Wengam urged Pastors to run their churches professionally, and in accordance with a Protocol Service Guide, he shared with the meeting. Rev. Wengam also shared with the meeting, his vision for the church, christened, the Transformation Agenda. During the meeting, intense prayers for the transformation of the church were made.

The immediate former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah was also invited to share his experience with the leaders present when he paid a surprise visit. He emphasized the need for Christians to work together to ensure a better life.

He prayed for the new leadership of Assemblies of God, Ghana. He particularly prayed against division and anything that would prevent the leaders from doing what they must do. The General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, thanked him for the visit and kind words and promised that he and his officers shall build on the foundation their forebears had laid.
