OVERVIEW OF THE WORLD ASSEMBLIES OF GOD FELLOWSHIP MISSIONS COMMISSION

The Missions Commission (MC) is the arm of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF) that focuses on enlarging the missions’ vision of the autonomous members of the WAGF. It exists to be of service in any practical way to address the varied needs of different countries and their unique settings. In some countries, that may mean helping with the vision and the early pioneer stages of a sending structure. In others it will be to respond to requests for help in training. Others may desire input on strategy and philosophy. Others may simply wish to share from their unique experiences. The needs and situations in each country are varied and unique. Their commission has many different individuals with unique talents and giftings who can respond to each of those different needs and situations.

WAGF MC exists to serve as a forum to share information and form strategic partnerships among existing and emerging missions networks that will encourage and enable Assembly of God churches everywhere to reach the least reached of our world. The commission has the value of accepting as Biblical the lost of humankind aside from hearing and believing in Christ during this lifetime. They affirm the need for all local and national churches to work in mutual respect as together they reach, plant, train, and touch until Christ’s church shall include disciples from among all nations.

Brad Walz and his team were in Abidjan for a World Missions conference. Brad opined, “I decided to cross the borders to Ghana to visit you and hobnob with your Vision 3000 programme”. He was happy to meet the General Superintendent and the Assistant GS (Rev. Dr. Paul Dzane) at the head office.

Also at the head office to pay a courtesy call on the General Superintendent was the General Secretary of Assemblies of God Nigeria and his wife, Rev. Dr and Mrs. Godwin Amaowoh. They were led to the head office by Rev. Elorm (Secretary to the Vision 3000 Committee). They discussed matters that would mutually have positive effect on the Assemblies of God churches in both countries.
