The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, and his wife, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, have successfully completed their fourth Apostolic Visit to the Brong Ahafo Region “A.” The gathering, held at Emmanuel Assemblies of God in Sunyani, brought together serving pastors and their spouses, retired ministers and their spouses, as well as pastors’ widows for a time of fervent prayer, spiritual impartation, fellowship, and biblical instruction.

On behalf of the Regional Superintendent, the Regional Secretary warmly welcomed Rev. Wengam and his wife. He highlighted the significant impact of the Apostolic Visit initiative since its introduction in 2023, noting that it has strengthened the bond of unity and fellowship between pastors and church leadership, revitalised ministerial marriages, and contributed to renewed spiritual revival across the region.

Three and a Half Hours of Prayer

Rev. Wengam led participants in an intensive three-and-a-half-hour prayer session, interceding for the Church, the nation, the upcoming World Assemblies of God Fellowship Congress, and the 32nd Biennial General Council Meeting. He challenged pastors to emulate the unwavering faith of the early Church, remain steadfast in their calling, prioritise church planting, and deepen their commitment to prayer and spiritual discipline.

Presentation of Welfare Gifts

The National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, expressed appreciation to pastors’ wives for their active participation in the association’s activities and encouraged them to remain faithful in their God-given calling.

As part of the welfare initiative, she presented gifts to serving pastors, cloth to their spouses, and cash and other items to retired ministers, their wives, and pastors’ widows.

She explained that the initiative is personally sponsored by herself and the General Superintendent as an expression of their love and commitment to supporting pastors and their families, particularly those facing various challenges. According to her, it is their modest way of caring for God’s servants.

In appreciation of their visionary leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the growth of Assemblies of God, Ghana, the Brong Ahafo Region “A” Regional Council presented a special gift to Rev. and Lady Mrs. Wengam.

Renewal of Marriage Vows

Rev. Wengam also led married couples in the renewal of their wedding vows and encouraged pastors and their wives to continue modelling Christ-centred marriages that inspire the Church and society.

Holy Communion

Another significant highlight of this year’s Apostolic Visit was the administration of Holy Communion, providing participants with a moment of spiritual reflection, renewal, and recommitment to Christ.

Participants described the visit as refreshing, impactful, and spiritually enriching, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to experience prayer, fellowship, pastoral care, and renewed encouragement for ministry.
