The National Executive of the Ministers Wives Association of Assemblies of God, Ghana, has paid a courtesy call on the First Lady, H.E. Mrs. Lordina Mahama, at her office in Accra. The delegation was led by the National President, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, wife of the General Superintendent.

She was accompanied by Rev. Mrs. Gladys Tito Agyei, National Vice President, and Mrs. Hannah Birikorang, National Secretary. Also present were Mrs. Rita Awintia, Regional President for Accra East, and Rev. Mrs. Barbara Ayesu, Regional President for Accra West.

The visit was to congratulate the First Lady on her elevation, appreciate her participation in the 2024 Ministers Wives Conference, and discuss matters of national concern, particularly those affecting the welfare of women.

Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam commended the First Lady and the First Family for their loyalty as longstanding members of the church and for their charitable support, especially in providing free medical screening and treatment for retired ministers, their spouses, and widows of deceased pastors.

Discussions highlighted the need for deeper collaboration between the church and the state, as well as the importance of advancing the welfare of women across the nation.

In her response, H.E. Mrs. Lordina Mahama encouraged the church to invest intentionally in improving the wellbeing of women and children.

The delegation presented the First Lady with a Bible and church souvenirs and also prayed for the First Family and the nation. H.E. Mrs. Mahama, in turn, presented souvenirs from the Lordina Foundation to the visiting delegation.
