A legacy temple sponsored by the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, and his wife, Lordina Mahama, has been commissioned for the Living Waters Assembly of God at Bunkpurugu in the North East Region.

The temple complex includes a fully furnished two-bedroom accommodation and an office facility for the resident pastor. In addition, the presidential couple provided chairs, musical instruments, and sound equipment to support the worship and ministry activities of the local assembly.

The facility was dedicated and commissioned by the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam. In his sermon, he reminded the congregation that the primary purpose of God’s house is prayer, referencing the words of Jesus in Matthew 21:12–15. He also encouraged the church to remain committed to prayer and evangelism.

Rev. Wengam commended President Mahama and his wife for fulfilling their vow by sponsoring the project and called on members of the Church to emulate their remarkable example of generosity and commitment to God’s work.

The Living Waters Assembly of God temple is one of ten legacy temples sponsored by the presidential couple, each with attached accommodation and office facilities, all located in rural communities across northern Ghana.
