The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, has admonished pastors to model strong faith for their members, encouraging them to overcome life’s challenges through steadfast trust in God. Drawing lessons from David’s faith in defeating Goliath, he urged ministers to shun corrupt lifestyles, arrogance, and mediocrity, while prioritizing integrity, dedication to duty, and deep spirituality.
Rev. Wengam delivered a sermon titled *“The Faith of Our Fathers”* (1 Samuel 17). During the service, he ordained about 25 pastors and elevated others to higher ministerial ranks. Leading the ordinands in the oath of office was Her Ladyship Justice Mrs. Priscilla Mireku, a High Court Judge.
In addition, the Ashanti North Regional Executive was re-elected to serve a second term. They are Rev. George Ampofo (Regional Superintendent), Rev. Ghartey (Regional Secretary), and Rev. Osei Tutu (Regional Treasurer).
