The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Rev Stephen Wengam supported by the Executive Presbytery officers has inaugurated the above mentioned committee chaired by Rev Elisha Awombire, former Regional Superintendent of Upper East Region “B” and former Secretary to the committee.
Rev Wengam charged the 15 member committee to be diligent, impartial and uphold integrity at all times.He assured the committee of the support of the leadership of the church. He called upon them to prioritize prayer since it involved the selection of leaders for the church.
In response the chairman of the committee, Rev Awombire promised that the committee will discharge their duties with utmost dedication to duty, honesty and the fear of God.
Five members are appointed by the Executive Presbytery and ten according to the original/traditional regions.
