

The Brong Ahafo Region “C” of Assemblies of God, Ghana, has hosted the 3rd Apostolic Visit of the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, and the National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam.
The landmark event took place on Monday, 10th August 2026, at Mim Central Assembly of God in the Ahafo Region. The gathering brought together serving and retired ministers, their spouses, and widows of deceased pastors for a time of prayer, spiritual impartation, fellowship, and learning.
INSPECTION OF REGIONAL OFFICE PROJECT
Prior to the Apostolic Visit, Rev. Wengam inspected the ongoing construction of the Regional Office facility. Impressed with the progress of work, he urged the Regional Executive Committee to ensure that the project is completed by 2028.
WELCOME ADDRESS
In his welcome address, the Regional Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Osei Owusu, highlighted major milestones achieved under the leadership of the General Superintendent through the Transformation Agenda. He commended Rev. Wengam for his visionary and sacrificial leadership, citing the Centenary City project, Apostolic Visit initiative, critical reforms, exposure trips for church leaders, and the unprecedented revival being witnessed in the church.
He also expressed appreciation to Rev. and Mrs. Wengam for their personal contribution of 250 bags of cement towards the construction of the Regional Office in 2022, as well as the General Council’s recent contribution of GH¢50,000.
The Regional Superintendent further commended Rev. and Mrs. Wengam for sponsoring the construction of a Legacy Temple at Goaso in 2022.
INTENSE PRAYER SESSION
Rev. Wengam led an intense three-and-a-half-hour prayer session focused on thanksgiving, repentance, intercession, and petition. Among the key prayer points were the upcoming General Council Meeting, the World Assemblies of God Congress, revival, and other matters concerning the church.
RENEWAL OF WEDDING VOWS
Rev. Wengam led married couples in the renewal of their wedding vows and admonished pastors and their spouses to model godly marriages for the church and society.
HOLY COMMUNION
The gathering also featured the administration of Holy Communion. Rev. Wengam cautioned against practices associated with Communion that deviate from biblical principles and urged ministers to uphold the scriptural significance of the sacrament.
PRESENTATION OF GIFTS
Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam commended pastors’ wives for their supportive role in ministry and encouraged them to promote unity and strength within their homes.
She presented gifts to pastors and their spouses, as well as cash and other items to retired ministers, their spouses, and pastors’ widows. Pastors’ wives received cloth, while pastors received gifts. Retirees received cash and gifts, while their wives and pastors’ widows received cash and cloth.
In a reciprocal gesture, the Brong Ahafo Region “C” Regional Council presented a ram to Rev. and Mrs. Wengam.
The Apostolic Visit ended on a high note, with participants expressing gratitude to the General Superintendent and his wife for initiating the novel and spiritually enriching initiative.
