The Executive Presbytery of Assemblies of God, Ghana, held a prayer retreat and capacity building programme from 4th to 8th May 2026 at the Western Serene Hotel, Takoradi.

Participants included members of the Executive Presbytery and the National Executive Committee of the Ministers’ Wives Association of Assemblies of God, Ghana.

The leadership of the Church engaged in five hours of intensive prayer daily, while the remaining sessions were dedicated to leadership development and capacity building.

The facilitator for the training sessions was the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, who taught on the following leadership topics:

1. How to Cultivate Executive Presence as a Leader
2. Leadership and Social Skills
3. Leadership and Decision Making
4. How to Make Your Organization an Institution of Excellence
5. Servant Leadership
6. Strategic Planning

Rev. Wengam emphasized the need for the Church to prioritize intentional leadership development at all levels.

Feedback from participants indicated that the retreat and training sessions had a significant and positive impact on their leadership capacity and spiritual lives.
