

The Assistant General Superintendent (AGS) of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Tito Agyei, has paid a working visit to the Assemblies of God Hospital in Saboba, located in the Northern Region of Ghana, on behalf of the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam. The visit, which took place on the 12th of June, 2026, was primarily aimed at assessing the extent of damage caused by a fire that gutted the hospital’s children’s ward earlier this year.
MEETING WITH MANAGEMENT, STAFF & STAKEHOLDERS
Beyond the facility inspection, Rev. Tito Agyei engaged in a series of strategic meetings, including a session with the interim management team and the advisory board members of the hospital. He also held a meeting with district pastors in the region.

As part of the visit, the AGS paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Saboba at the royal palace. During the meeting, Rev. Tito Agyei briefed the chief and elders on the vision of the General Superintendent to upgrade and reposition the hospital to better serve the healthcare needs of Saboba and its surrounding communities.
In response, the Paramount Chief expressed gratitude to the General Superintendent for the visit and appealed to the leadership of Assemblies of God, Ghana, to prioritise the hospital’s long-term development.
MEMBERS OF DELEGATION
Rev. Tito Agyei was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Rev. John K. Gmajiyimon, Regional Superintendent, Northern Region ‘B’; the Regional Secretary; the Executive Director of AG Care; and the District Pastor of Saboba.
The visit underscores the Church’s commitment to both spiritual and social transformation of society, with a renewed focus on enhancing critical healthcare infrastructure in underserved communities.
