The Brong Ahafo Region “B” of Assemblies of God, Ghana, witnessed a powerful spiritual awakening during the third Apostolic Visit of the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, and the National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam.

The landmark event took place on Wednesday, 22nd July 2026, at Full Gospel Assemblies of God in Techiman, Bono East Region. It brought together serving pastors and their spouses, retired ministers and their spouses, pastors’ widows, and missionaries from Kairos Global Missions (USA) for a time of prayer, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

Warm Reception

The Regional Executive Committee, led by the Regional Superintendent, Rev. Moses Nasimong, and his wife, warmly welcomed the denomination’s First Couple with a vibrant display of traditional culture before ushering them into a charged atmosphere of praise and worship.

In his welcome address, Rev. Nasimong highlighted several significant milestones achieved by the region, including:

* The successful celebration of the Region’s 10th Anniversary.
* The Regional Office Complex, which is now about 90% complete.
* The presentation of a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser by the General Council under the visionary leadership of the General Superintendent to enhance ministry operations.
* The ongoing construction of a Legacy Temple, generously sponsored by Rev. Stephen Wengam and Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam.

Intense Prayer Session

Rev. Wengam led participants through an intensive four-hour prayer session centred on thanksgiving, repentance, intercession, and supplication. Key prayer topics included the upcoming General Council Meeting, the World Assemblies of God Fellowship Congress, national and church revival, and the Centenary City Project.

Renewal of Marriage Vows

The General Superintendent led married couples in the renewal of their wedding vows and encouraged pastors and their spouses to model Christ-centred marriages that inspire the Church and society.

Holy Communion

A solemn Holy Communion service was observed, during which Rev. Wengam emphasised the need to administer the ordinance strictly according to biblical principles and cautioned against practices that deviate from Scripture.

Presentation of Welfare Gifts

Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam presented gifts to serving pastors, their spouses, retired ministers and their spouses, as well as pastors’ widows, as part of the welfare initiative she personally sponsors together with the General Superintendent.

In appreciation of their exemplary leadership and generosity, the Brong Ahafo Region “B” Regional Council presented traditional kente cloths to Rev. and Lady Mrs. Wengam.

The Apostolic Visit concluded on a high note, with participants expressing profound gratitude to the General Superintendent and his wife for introducing this unique initiative, which continues to strengthen fellowship, encourage ministers, and bring spiritual renewal across Assemblies of God, Ghana.
