

On Friday, 12th June 2026, Eastern Region A of Assemblies of God, Ghana, hosted the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, and his wife, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, for the 4th Apostolic Visitation.
The historic event was held at the Koforidua Central Assemblies of God and brought together pastors, retirees, pastors’ widows, and their respective spouses from across the region for a time of spiritual refreshing,divine importation and intercession for Kingdom advancement.
Key Highlights of the Visitation
Intensive Prayer Session:
The General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, led a powerful three-and-a-half-hour prayer marathon. prayer and Intercession focused on thanksgiving, repentance, rededication, the needs of the national church and individual believers,the 2026 General Council elections and the peace and development of Ghana.Furthermore,intensive prayers was offered for the upcoming World Congress of the World Assemblies of God World Fellowship scheduled to take place in Accra from October 14th to 16th.
Word of Exhortation:
Admonishing the clergy, Rev. Wengam urged pastors to cultivate strong faith. He warned against negative attitudes such as grumbling and anxiety, noting that they erode inner peace and hinder ministerial effectiveness.
Renewal of Marriage Vows:
Emphasizing biblical standards, the General Superintendent led ministers and their spouses to renew their marriage vows. He charged them to maintain strong and enduring unions and to position their marriages as godly models for their congregations.
Welcoming and Presentations
The host Regional Superintendent of Eastern Region A, Rev. Dr. Albert Anane, warmly welcomed the national leadership. He described the Apostolic Visitation initiative as a divine and spiritually enriching experience for the region’s ministry.
In a remarkable demonstration of generosity, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association, encouraged clergy families to remain focused on their ministry. On behalf of herself and the General Superintendent, she presented personal gifts, including:
Cloth and cash donations to retirees and their spouses, and pastors’ widows;
Cloth for pastors’ wives; and
Special token of appreciation for each pastor.
In a beautiful reciprocal gesture, Lady Mrs Linda Anane,wife of the Regional Superintendent on behalf of the leadership of Eastern Region A presented gifts to the General Superintendent and his family for their kind gesture and visionary leadership.
