23RD APOSTOLIC VISIT IN 2026 TO EASTERN REGION “B” BY REV WENGAM AND WIFE

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, and the National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam have embarked on the 23rd Apostolic visit in 2026 to Eastern Region “B”. The landmark event took place on Thursday 13th Aug,2026, at Restoration Center Assembly of God, Suhum. This was the 3rd apostolic visit to the region. The above mentioned event brought together serving and retired ministers, their spouses and widows of deceased pastors.

WELCOME ADDRESS
In his welcome address, the Regional Superintendent,Rev Obed Asiedu highlighted major milestones achieved during the tenure of the General Superintendent.He mentioned the Sod cutting for the centenary city project,apostolic visit initiative,critical reforms,exposure trip for church leaders and the unprecedented revival being witnessed in the church.

Furthermore,he expressed appreciation to the General Superintendent and wife for making personal donations in 2023 towards the construction of their regional office building project(being 200 bags of cement).He equally thanked the General Superintendent for facilitating the acquisition of an official vehicle for the region.

INTENSE PRAYER SESSION
The General Superintendent led an intense three(3)hours and forty(40)minutes prayer session focusing on thanksgiving & worship, repentance and rededication, intercession, and petition. Highlights of the prayer topics were: the upcoming General Council meeting, World Congress, revival and others.

RENEWAL OF WEDDING VOWS
Rev Wengam led married couples to renew their wedding vows. Rev Wengam admonished pastors and their spouses to make their marriages a model for members.

HOLY COMMUNION
Communion service was observed with a stern caution regarding practices that accompany the administration of holy communion which deviate from the scriptures.

PRESENTATION OF GIFTS
Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam on her part commended pastors’ wives for their supportive role and urged unity in the home. She presented gifts to pastors and their spouses including pastors’ widows and retired ministers and their spouses. Retired pastors received an undisclosed amount of cash donation and a gift and their wives and the widows were given cash donation and cloth each. Pastors’ wives received a cloth and the pastors a gift.

In a reciprocal gesture, the Eastern Region “B” regional council presented a citation of appreciation to the first couple of the church for their magnanimity and sacrificial giving towards the welfare of the vulnerable in the ministry.
The apostolic visit ended on a high note with participants expressing gratitude to the General Superintendent and wife for initiating this novel and spiritually enriching event.
