The People of Fufuo in the Atwima Nwabiagya District led by Hon. Eric Fofie (Assembly Member), Unit Committee, Nananom have honoured a statesman and a native of Fufuo, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana for his meritorious support and dedication to Fufuoman and the Nwabiagya District.

In a grand durbar held in honour of the man of God, the DCE, Hon. Michael Amoah Awuku appreciated the good works of Rev. Prof. Frimpong-Manso as his outstanding legacies have brought much development to Fufuoman and Atwima District.

 

According to the DCE, Prof. Frimpong-Manso helped his people to get their dilapidated road from Barekese to Fufuo done in 2016, scholarship for brilliant but needy students, a modern multi-million library complex with computers and books in 2017 and his assistance to secure job career for the needy in the town and the District. In appreciation of these legacies, the people of Fufuo honoured him with rich kente cloth, plaque, sheep and other items.

Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso in his acceptance speech thanked the District and the people of Fufuo for the honour. He advised the youth to seek God; according to him seeking God and serving Him will play a great role in eschewing all evil. He further

asked the youth and the people of Fufuo to work hard and reiterated that every work their hands find they should do it with meticulousness. The man of God and the statesman asked the youth to avoid all forms of social vices which do not bring development.

He finally tasked his people and Ghanaians at large not to allow politics, religion, denominational affiliation and tribalism to divide them; because “we are one people serving one country”, he stated. He encouraged them to ensure unity and peace as well as ensuring good sanitation.

Prof Frimpong-Manso implored the community not to involve themselves in the galamsey menace and be law abiding.
