The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam has ordained pastors and elevated some to the rank of Exhorters and Licentiates at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Saltpond at the 9th Annual Regional Council Meeting of Central ‘A’.

Preaching the sermon titled, “Send The Light Because There Are Still More Lands To Be Possessed” (Joshua 13:1-7), Rev.Dr. Wengam called on pastors to focus their energies on soul-winning and church planting. He bemoaned our failure to raise disciplined Christians even though the Christians number is 70% in Ghana. The General Superintendent challenged Christians to ensure that the impending national election is peaceful, free, and fair.

The Special Guest of honour, H.E. John Mahama, former President of the Republic of Ghana commended the church for choosing the theme, “Send The Light”.He challenged the Christian politicians to send the Light into politics.

The Regional Superintendent, Rev. Bismark Moore announced that the region was building a retreat center to solve accommodation problems for camp meetings and retreats. Prayers were offered to the nation.
